February to July, 2018

Deadalus - Game

This was my conclusion project on Digital Games graduation.

​

I was the leader of the Sound team, which had 2 people, myself included.

Among other functions, I had to create the 10-track soundtrack of the game, manage, decide, organize and apply every sound effect. I also coordinated and organized the dubbing of the game.

​

It was tough working and receiving feedback by so many people (There were about 20 in total) in such different areas, being a self learner used to work by myself.

​

I learned to deal with constructive feedback, organization, coordination and schedule of all Audio deliveries.

August 2019 to March 2023

Onda Sonora - Job

The place I've learned everything as a professional.

Started as an Sound Editor and Sound Designer. Worked mainly for advertisement pieces, editing Voiceover, Soundtracks, Mixing and Mastering.

Late 2020 I've started having Producer functions, dealing and organizing the team's deadlines and workflow, aswell as organizing the Company's archives and finished jobs. Renaming, Reorganizing, Filing and updating our System.

Early 2021 I've become a Coordinator aswell as everything else (the company has only 3 workers, plus my former boss, therefore I did a lot of functions). Coordinating involved talking with our Voice Actors, Directing them, dealing with clients ocasionally and being the responsible for everything Workflow and Audio related.

Also, in late 2022 till March 2023 I've trained an employee to do my functions, as I was planned to leave in March.

March 2021

The Weight of Grief - GameJam

Game made for MiniJam 75.

 

It was an awesome experience, making a game in 72 hours with a limited theme and time is such a different workflow. Working with 4 people online was a difficult task considering each one have a different worflow.
 

I was the responsible for all sounds in the game and also made de 3D models for the game.

September 2020 to November 2020

Joinville's 2020 Mayor Campaign - Job

Worked as the responsible for audio (Audio Editor, Engineer, Director, Creative,  Mixing and Mastering)

Working for politics is a crazy experience, creating an entire campaign, executing and finishing in about 2 months is a lot of work, overtime and responsability. I worked directly with other creative minds, but was the only one that dealt with Audio, which led to an amazing personal and professional growth. Having to maintain everything organized, creating diverse types of media, coordinating deliveries and absurd deadlines made me a great professional.

My Youtube is the place I post everything I've made. Trying to maintaing everything in one place I ended up using my Youtube channel, Scar Project, as my altar, where I store everything from my soundtracks, side projects, new and old songs.

BIOGRAPHY

I'm Gabriel Scarabelot Campos de Souza. Born and raised in Santa Catarina, Brazil.

​

I started working with audio in 2016, making FL Studio beats with my friend's voicemails. Then, in my Digital Games graduation class, nobody was interested in working with Audio/Sound, so I took the role of the "Sound Guy" of my class. A slight interest became a passion, making soundtracks for GameJam games and started professional work as an Audio Editor and Designer for Onda Sonora, the oldest Audio Producer in my town, in 2019. Later doing work as not only an Editor but also as a Producer, Coordinator, Audio Engineer and Director for the company.

I am moving to Vancouver late April 2023 to pursue my carreer, working with Audio for Games, Movies, TV Shows and Advertisement.
